The qFLUX is the evolution of inflow control devices and the solution for optimized recovery in horizontal wells. The qFLUX inflow control device ICD balances the inflow profile along the length of the well dealing with reservoir permeability heterogeneity and reducing the coning effect resulting in a uniform drainage, delaying water /gas breakthrough and increasing oil recovery.
The aICV – Autonomous Inflow Control Valve – is a patented new technology (Inflow Control) that will replace the conventional ICD and ensure significant increase in oil production and recovery. In most oil wells, unwanted fluid production, such as water and/or gas, will occur after a while. At a breakthrough due to the higher mobility of the unwanted fluid, the conventional ICD will produce more water or gas than oil. The aICV combines the advantages of an ICD, creating an even inflow profile, with the advantages of an ICV, opening and closing a valve and will autonomously shut of water and gas at a breakthrough.
